Jump on board and enjoy Bodyboarding at a variety of uncrowded world class beach and reef breaks. Our accommodation for the stay is a Luxury villa located in the traditional and picturesque Town of Ribeiro Grande. It’s a stones throw from the local beachbreak and good bars and restaurants are plentiful.

The trip is designed to be a blend of adventure, relaxation and pure bodyboarding stoke. All abilities are welcome, whether you are a total beginner and want to experience the thrills of bodyboarding with like minded individuals or an experienced rider who wants to experience the incredible waves of the Azores and take their skills to the next level.

A typical day will be spent Bodyboarding at one of the excellent spots on San Miguel. The location of the villa is on the north coast of San Miguel, which enjoys the brunt of the Atlantic swells. Just 20 minutes away is the east coast, a truly spectacular coastline offering point breaks and breathtaking landscapes. The south coast is only 25 minutes drive away and offers protection if the swell and wind isn’t cooperating on the other coasts. In between enjoying what the ocean has to offer we’ll be visiting tranquil natural hot springs,and breath taking mountains and forests.

San Miguel is truly one of Europe’s last unspoilt surf regions. Picture uncrowded beaches,dazzling blue lakes, verdant pastures, volcanic caverns, bubbling hot springs, sprawling sunrises and waterfalls cascading deep into ravines.

Ready to experience a week of world class Bodyboard coaching in one of the most consistent coastlines on earth?

Pack your bags and Fly into Lisbon Airport, we will pick you up and bring you to our stunning traditional villa in Sintra.

What will we be doing, you ask?

We will be spending each day searching for uncrowded waves, using over 25 years of local knowledge to make sure we find the best spots to fulfill your needs. From total beginner to pro, this trip is an opportunity to join a group of like-minded people and explore the authentic Portuguese countryside.

We will be doing a mix of Bodyboarding and culture, exploring a bit of the non-touristic places in between your bodyboarding sessions.

In the evening, after a nice dinner in one of the local traditional restaurants, we will watch the film footage of the day and go into some video analysis coaching in order to help improve your riding skills.

We will have the pleasure of having with us professional videographer João Osorio from @eye.visualproductions.

João will not miss a moment of video capture. And at the end of trip he will  be putting together a cool video edit of all the action that went down during the week, which will leave you crying for more Boogie Trips adventures!

Why Lisbon Coast for you bodyboarding holiday?

Beach breaks, wedges, shore breaks, slabbing reef breaks and point breaks, we really do have it all here and we go out of our way at Boogietrips to search for the waves most suited to you. The team at Boogietrips have been surfing the coastline for over 20 years.

It’s no secret that Portugal has some of the best waves in the world. The Sintra Coastline in particular is geographically blessed. Just 25 minutes drive from the cosmopolitan city of Lisbon lies the western coastline of the Sintra region.

It benefits from picking up any swell the Atlantic is producing. The summer months can be flat elsewhere in Europe, whereas the local beach breaks around the Sintra area rarely see the waves disappear.

The abundant beach breaks and wedges light up on all swell directions giving endless possibilities to score perfect uncrowded waves. Sintra’s micro-climate often produces glassy surf conditions while other regions in Portugal suffer from small swells and windy onshore waves, especially during the summer months. When north or west winds and big swells arrive the south coast of Lisbon, only a short drive away, can produce magical waves.

Come join pro Bodyboarder Nicolas Rosner and the Boogie Trips crew on a quest to score a variety of different waves from the most famous point breaks of jardim do mar to fun wedges and beach breaks near Porto da Cruz.
Madeira islands are located around 500 km of the coast of Morocco, standing between the desert Islands of the Canaries and the Humid Azores.
The Islands enjoy year round subtropical weather and water temperatures are at around 20 degrees in the Winter.  Therefore no need for thick wet-suits.

Our base will be at the wonderful Eco villa in Faial, surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens and close to the consistent beach breaks of Porto da Cruz.

We will be spending our days in search of the best waves , while sampling in the local cuisine and the abundant tropical fruits this magical place has to offer.

With many of waves still to explore, incredible hikes into to the high green mountains and traditional Poncha Pubs in every village, you are in for an epic week of pure Bodyboard stoke.

Things to do:
From world famous hiking trails , mesmerizing waterfalls, poncha tours, caves, natural swimming pools, diving and snorkeling,cable car ride to remote beaches with stunning viewpoints.

Waves:
Madeira is most famous for its long right hand point breaks, but different swell directions light up corners of the Islands, with a variety of small beach breaks and powerful reef breaks.

Weather :
Madeira enjoys a subtropical climate but there are a few significant differences between the North and South coast of the Island. While The South gets plenty of sun most of the year and t-shirt weather in the afternoons, The North Coast is often cooler, due large cliffs and mountains not letting much sunlight through during the Winter months. So bring along a mix of winter and summer clothing.

How to get to Madeira Island:
Madeira has long been a famous tourism destination, which means there are many daily flights to Funchal (FNC) airport from all over the world, since the surfing season is not the same as the main tourist season, cheap flights are offered by many different airlines.
